Coastal walks

Continuing on our path to walk the coast of Fife we have spent some time around Wemyss and Anstruther. Needless to say - we did not miss out on the chance to eat at the famous fish and chip shop there. We also explored some of the local cemeteries and the 'Secret Bunker'

Art Galleries

When in Edinburgh we visited the Dean Gallery and the Modern Art Gallery. The Dean was showing a photographic exhibition that we both found quite disturbing by an American photographer Diane Arbus. Most of her photos were about life in all its despair, including a series taken at a hospital for learning disabled people in 1970.
The Modern Art Gallery had a new showing of works of portaiture and the human body which I found much more appealing.
After this we spent time wandering around the Dean Cemetary - a resting place for the great and good of Edinburgh

Botanical Expeditions

The weather has been remarkably obliging recently - so I have managed to go on several photographic expeditions, the main one was to the Edinburgh Botanic Gardens. They have a new restaurant - food excellent, and we spent the whole day ther, nearly getting a parking ticket as we totally forgot the time!

Coastal Walks

The other day I had an afternoon off and it was sunny (!) so we decided to go to Ravenscraig castle to explore, the idea was to take pictures, and I did do some of that - but mostly we mucked around

J and N built cairns while I tryed to take pictures of the birds - they were definitely more successful than me
